Dr. Shimer uses light palpation and fennec to adjust her patients. She tries not to muscle through adjustments which can be very painful. Everyone can benefit from a customized wellness treatment plan specific to your needs no matter your age, gender, or weight. Dr. Shimer works on patients that are 7 years old and up.

She is currently involved in a Medicaid pilot study at Swedish Hospital with spinal cord injured patients. The data is strongly suggesting that Chiropractic, Acupuncture and Massage do improve quality of life and should be included in the Medicaid system. We need healthcare that is accessible to all. She is a part of the Joint family because it is one of those places where real health happens and smiles are put back on people’s faces.

This is the most amazing place to go for an chiropractic adjustment. They are kind, knowledgeable and efficient! I would recommend going to The Joint to anyone that's looking to try out a new chiropractor. Dr. Shimer is who I usually see and she's phenomenal, I've suffered from severe neck pain for years but it's finally manageable and slowly going away thanks to regular adjustments.

The day I decided to get an adjustment, we had 3inches of snow. But besides the weather, I went in and I was greeted into a very friendly environment. I was in and out feeling better than I was 10minutes prior. I'll definitely be back in for another adjustment!

I had been existing with a hip, shoulder and neck out of whack for years. I happened to come across The Joint and now I no longer feel like a slave to my pain. My outlook in just two adjustments has become more positive and my life feels like it can be enjoyed rather than endured. I highly recommend The Joint to anyone who feels like pain should not be part of working hard or growing older.

The Joint arrived in Longmont at the perfect time for me since my chiropractor closed his practice two months prior. I have been very pleased with the care provided by every doctor at The Joint. They are professional, experienced and most importantly, effective! I sought treatment due to frequent headaches which have been alleviated. The staff is very friendly and I always look forward to my visits. I am grateful that care at The Joint is affordable since chiropractic is not covered by my insurance. I have also brought my son in for care.
